ANCIENT OF DAYS
How old is God! Who can tell His age! Surely no mortal man can, not even the immortals, God is the Immortality that dwells in mortality. He is seated enthroned above! Nothing takes Him unawares! He was before time and is after time. He has been from the beginning and He is the end.
Generations after generations have come and gone, Great kings, Mighty men, Rulers of great empires, all these we have read about in our history books, but today they are no more, they are all dead and buried. Most of their great accomplishment is now trash, the lucky ones; we read about and find in the museums. But soon will be wiped away, Yet God remains! And even today, great men and women are rising, with incredible inventions and influence, but it is all for a moment, they cannot live forever, and even though their inventions may outlive them, it is just a matter of time before they are remodeled, and after a while, forgotten like those before. yet, God remains! The Great I AM THAT I AM. There is none like Him! He is in a class all by Himself. The Ancient of Days! God is. In Him, we move and live and have our being, whether you believe it or not.
The world is in His hands. He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy and spreads them out like a tent… There has been no invention, neither will there be any that will shock God. He is the one who gave man the capacity and wisdom for witty inventions. He commanded man to dominate the earth, have dominion over it, and subdue it. So when we operate in this realm of dominion, we are pleasing God.
Men ought to be in God to enjoy ultimate and full completion because He alone sustains Man. Man was made from God; when God wanted to make man, He spoke to Himself, but for fishes and sea creatures, He spoke to the sea, for land animals, He spoke to the earth. As a result, man cannot live without God. Any attempt to live outside of God creates a vacuum that nothing can fill. and the father man moves away from God he begins to rebel against God. So, instead of pleasing God, man begins to displease God. Yet, God is not faced by all that, because He is sovereign over all. In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.
Yet, because of God’s love for mankind, the One who is not bound by time took on the form of a mere mortal man and stepped into time so He can redeem mankind unto Himself. …And such were some of you before you believed. But you were washed by the atoning sacrifice of Christ, you were sanctified set apart for God, and made holy, you were justified and declared free of guilt in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Holy Spirit of our God the source of the believer’s new life and changed behavior.
