THE BLOOD OF JESUS
You have come to Jesus, the one who mediates the new covenant between God and people, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks of forgiveness instead of crying out for vengeance like the blood of Abel.
The blood of Jesus is of the most superior quality. This blood speaks better things than the blood of Able. It is so potent that there was an earthquake on the day it touched the earth because the earth had never experienced blood so pure. The blood of Jesus grants access into the presence of God, “Therefore, brothers and sisters since we have the confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, into the presence of God”. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all filth. “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin”.; it washes white as snow. The blood of Jesus delivers, it shields in the days of trouble and gives exemption. The blood shall be a sign for you …; and when I see the blood I will pass over you. Jesus is the Lamb of God, the only perfect sacrifice that has been slain for all mankind. The blood of animals can no longer suffice, a more perfect sacrifice has already been slain.
This mysterious, yet potent blood of Jesus was shed for our salvation, over two thousand years ago on the cross of Calvary to make us children of God. And it was shed once and for all. Without it, we could never have access. We would never be made righteous, we could never be justified, we could never be sanctified. It is a lawful requirement for blood to be shed, and for sins to be forgiven. Almost all things are, by the law, purged with blood, and without blood-shedding, there is no remission.
The blood of Jesus is living, and powerful, it can never lose its power. Even the devil knows this. There is nothing else, that can avail for man, except this blood. This blood has been made available for as many that will believe and appropriate it.
First, to appropriate the efficacy and fullness of this blood, you need to walk and live in the light of the Gospel; God became man to redeem man back to Himself, His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, and He is coming back again.
Second, Holy Communion; “And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me. ”In the same way, after the supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you…”. By partaking in holy communion, the breaking of bread, and drinking of wine in remembrance of Him you are appropriating the power in the blood of Jesus with all its benefits.
Above all, you must have a relationship with Him for all these to mean anything and to not bring judgment and condemnation upon yourself. Anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment upon himself.
