THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH
“…But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth…”
The Spirit of truth is the Holy Spirt.
He is the Third Person of the Trinity, who was at the beginning, is now, and forever more shall be.
He is quiet and gentle
He is the Life giving Spirit
A friend, who sticks closer than a brother.
He is the Power of God! The Same power that raised up Jesus from the dead.
He is our Advocate.
The Holy Spirit has been resident on earth since after the accension of Jesus, and is not leaving until after the rapture of the Church. He is still here, because Jesus promised that he would not leave us comfortless, but would send us the Comforter, who will endue us with power from on high, to be ambassadors of Christ here on earth, living victoriously, overcoming daily.
It is with this Power, that we will be able to execute the counsel of God upon the earth. To pull down and to build up, to uproot and to plant. Because the Kingdoms of this world, has become the Kingdom of our God and His Christ. It is the Power of the Holy Spirit, that enable a believer to live the Victorious Life, Jesus paid for and worn, for all humanity when He went to the cross, this power has been made available to anyone who will dare to believe on the Son of God; Jesus the Christ, who died: “and having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross”. He went to hell, collected the keys of life and death, and rose from dead. He has been given a name that is above every other name that is named, that at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
The power to do exploits for the kingdom of God is in receiving the Holy Spirit. Samson is one man who had this experience, David too, Joshua, Moses, Gideon, Elijah, Elisha, the list goes on and on. only that then, the Holy Spirit would come upon them, and they would do great exploits. But in this dispensation of Grace that we are in, The Spirit of the Most High God is resident on the earth and in the heart of true believers who have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
When the Holy Spirit, comes into the life of a man, that man’s life can never remain the same again. Both physically and spiritually; because the Holy Spirt comes bearing gifts: the gift of wisdom, a message of knowledge, faith, gifts of healing, miraculous powers, prophecy, distinguishing between spirits, speaking in different kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues. Because He is the Spirit of TRUTH, He will lead you into all Truth. And he will tell you what is yet to come.
“But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you… “…when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you”.
What will you do with the Holy Spirit? Its actually better to receive Him and allow him finish His work in and through you.
