metamorphosis – PUPA

metamorphosis – PUPA

“It’s usually darkest just before the break of dawn, don’t give up, you are just at the point of your breakthrough”.

It may sometimes be very difficult to receive it or even understand it; that every phase of life is a blessing in itself, and we are to be thankful at all times. To be able to move from one phase to the next, is actually a miracle in itself. It is usually when we focus too much on the downsides of the current situation, is when we find it difficult to see the blessing of the season, we are in. “Because God always causes all things to work together for our good, particularly to those who love the Lord and are called according to His good pleasure”.

The life circle of a butterfly is a very interesting one. It sure did catch my attention and I got some lessons from it that I would love to share:

  • Life is in phases, seasons come and seasons go.
  • Be grateful and thankful, in whatever season you are in.
  • All you need to do is to relax and LET GOD. “For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose”.

Now the butterfly starts out as an egg, sometimes a lonely egg on a lone leaf or many eggs on a leaf. whichever the case, it is by itself. And depending on the kind of specie it is, it would remain an egg for about 4 – 10 days respectively. Afterward, it becomes a Caterpillar; a more tangible form of a living thing. And all it does at this stage of life is consumption, eating everything it can as much as it can for about 8days – 21 days. It then enters into another stage, where it is no longer eating nor moving, this is the stage where it forms into a pupa, the seemingly ‘stay-put stage’, when it usually seems like the longest period of its living existence. This ‘stay-put stage’, is actually the stage of metamorphosing into the amazing beautiful butterfly.

When you received that Word, that Promise, that Prophesy from God; oh what joy filled your heart! At last, I too will be Married, I too will carry my Baby, I too would build and move into my own House and on and on goes the list. You could already see yourself actually moving and actualizing your dreams and goals. Then Two, Three, Five, Seven, or Ten years later, suddenly nothing seems to be working anymore, looks like you are stuck! You can feel that you are no longer moving. Seems like God is silent, that He has forsaken you.

No! He hasn’t, He is the Fourth Man in the Fire, Hold On, because you are coming out as Gold. That circumstance, that situation that came to overwhelm you, to kill you; God is turning it all around for your good. It is all part of the process and seasons of life. Don’t you dare think you are finished because it looks dead or because you feel stuck? Yes, you had to stop for the transformation to be complete, what is yours and who you are cannot be stopped. “…He makes all things beautiful in His time”. Your response in every and any situation you find yourself in is to always give thanks “…because it is the will of God that we give Him thanks”.

He is sovereign and is in control. God is not a man that He should lie. He is Time. And your times are in His hands, not in the hands of the calendar nor the ticking clock.

Give God thanks in every situation of life you find yourself. First, because it is the will of God that you do, and secondly, because He is too faithful to fail, what He has promised you He will surely bring to pass.

Just imagine crushing the Pupa or destroying it because it stopped moving and eating. You would never get to see the completed work of a Beautiful Butterfly. Wait for It, it will surely come.
