FIREPROOF

FIREPROOF

…when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Could God have prevented the four Hebrew Children from going into the fire?

Can anyone really question God? His ways are far beyond the ways of man, He is the Most High! And He is sovereign! Nothing, absolutely nothing takes him unawares. Nevertheless, the answer is ‘YES’.

Why then did God allow them to have such horrifying and terrifying ‘experience’?

Anything that is not good is not God. But God works incredible good, out of every bad situation that the devil orchestrates. God always has a plan and a way out for all His children who have complete and total trust in Him. God always comes through.

King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, sixty cubits high and six cubits wide, and set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon. Nations and peoples of every language were commanded to bow down and worship the golden image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, as soon as the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music was heard. Whoever did not fall down and worship was immediately thrown into a blazing furnace. Therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the instruments and all kinds of music, all the nations and peoples of every language fell down and worshiped the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. It was reported to the King, that some Jews who had been set over the affairs of the province of Babylon—Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego paid no attention to him, that they neither serve his gods nor worship the image of gold he had set up. Furious with rage, Nebuchadnezzar summoned Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So, these men were brought before the king, and Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the image of gold I have set up”?  The king was ready to see for himself how true the accusation was because it seemed unbelievable; “Now when you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, if you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand?” But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Their response made Nebuchadnezzar furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. So, these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans, and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. The king’s command was so urgent and the furnace so hot that the flames of the fire killed the soldiers who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and these three men, firmly tied, fell into the blazing furnace.

At the point of being thrown into the fire, they fell into the blazing flames. It surely would have seemed so unbelievable that in spite of their strong belief they were still thrown into the blazing furnace. surly that was their end. So pathetic right? What kind of God would allow such a thing to happen to the people who so vehemently and unashamedly trusted in Him? So many questions…

But it is not really over until God says it is. Only God has the final say: Then King Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement and asked his advisers, “Weren’t there three men that we tied up and threw into the fire?” They replied, “Certainly, Your Majesty.” He said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed, and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.”

Halleluyah! They became fireproof! God didn’t leave them alone in the fire, He came physically to them inside the fire. So, it does not really matter, as long as your trust is in Him, He has promised to never leave you, He is right there with you inside that fire, and you are surely coming out even more victoriously and gloriously! Completely set free, with evidence, because the bands that were used by the devil to tie you down, to humiliate and mock God in your life, will be the only thing that will burn in that fire.

Nebuchadnezzar then approached the opening of the blazing furnace and shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” So, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire, and the satraps, prefects, governors, and royal advisers crowded around them. They saw that the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them. They became a wonder.

Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise be to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and rescued his servants! They trusted in him and defied the king’s command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. Therefore, I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way.”

Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.

They that know their God will be STRONG! and will do Great Exploits!
