HE SEES YOU (Part 1)
Hmmm…
So typical, how people can label you by the situation or circumstance you are in, to the point that your given name does not identify you anymore, but the circumstance or situation does.
“The woman with the spirit of Infirmity”, this couldn’t have been her given name, could it?
This infirmity, even though we don’t know what it was, weighed her down for eighteen years, and it was so huge that she was bent over, and couldn’t raise herself. What a heavy load to carry around.
In those days people with any form of infirmity were termed unclean. People did not readily associate themselves with these kinds of people. Even though, there really isn’t much difference now either, now, the stigmatization is well refined, but it is still there. The stare, the segregation, the feeling is so strong you can touch it. And the natural response is usually, to run away and hide where no one can see you or reach you.
But, thank God, not this woman; If only the devil could isolate her, then he would have been able to finish her off; which is usually his strategy, towards executing his steal, kill and destroy agenda. Evil thrives in secrecy, when you are alone and all by yourself, the devil comes to whisper lies and suggestions to you to just end it all. Not this woman, although she was so weighed down, she still found out time to fellowship. She didn’t mind the stigma, the stare or the insults; she still came to fellowship at the temple. And It was during one of these times that Jesus saw her.
What a loving savior to have been able to spot her where she was, bent over. I doubt she would be on the front seat. It is possible she was way behind , but she was there. And being bent over, it would really have been impossible to sight her in the crowd. Yet, Jesus saw her, and called her to Himself.
But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Himself and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.” And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Come out from there, stop listening to the lies of the devil, what he is saying to you are all lies. come to Jesus today, come as you are, He is waiting for you to come. He sees where you are and what you are going through, He is willing to help you, if you can just come to Him today. He loves you and is willing to touch you where it hurts.
Jesus singled the “Woman with the spirit of infirmity” out that day for a remarkable miracle, because she came to Him when He called on her. she could have chosen to run, and not want people to see her in the mess she was in; nevertheless, she answered the call, even though she was unworthy, she answered the master’s call and was made whole.
Jesus sees you, and is calling on you today, will you answer Him?
He makes all things beautiful in its time.
