LET LOVE
“… for God is Love”
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
We are enjoined to love at all-times, to let love be the driving factor for our actions. because anything you do in life that is not done out of love is not pleasing to God.
The plan of the devil is to rob us of the blessings of obeying God by living in love, this is because of the great benefits and amazing possibilities that abound as a result of this one singular act of obedience. So, he sells us a lie; and we believe him, that loving can only be achieved exclusively, and that not everyone is deserving of love. This in turn results in feelings of suspicions, making unfounded assumptions and judgments that could result in feelings of inadequacy, shame, pain, heart aches, and sometimes mental illness that could further translate into one becoming overly protective, competitive, boastful, hateful, jealous, and anxious; that can result in conflict, and if conflict is not properly managed can degenerate into a full scale war, with unquantifiable collateral damage and casualties as we have seen throughout history and even still see all around us.
The command to love is by far the greatest, and it is also the solution to the problem of the world. Yet it is the hardest to obey; because we do not believe.
The kind of love we are commanded to have for each other, can only be achieved if you are born of God and know God. If you don’t know God and are not born of God, you cannot love. Love is not just a feeling you have for your lover or friend. Love is patient, Love is kind, Love does not envy, Love does not boast, Love is not proud, Love does not dishonor others, Love is not self-seeking, Love is not easily angered, Love keeps no record of wrongs, Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth, Love always protects, Love always trusts, Love always hopes, Love always perseveres, above all, Love never fails. And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Love is the greatest of all, because God is Love.
If you know God and have been born of God, you will Love.
There will be no room for, or thoughts of whether you are accepted or if your love is reciprocated, this is because your hope is founded on Jesus Christ the Rock, this “…hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us”.
We can make the world a better place if we Love.
You cannot love, if you don’t know God.
