HIS WAYS ARE NOT MAN’S WAYS

You cannot define God by human standards, GOD IS NOT A MAN!

As the heavens is far above the earth, so are God’s thoughts.

Human calculations, predictions and even experiences cannot determine God’s ways, His ways are far beyond human understanding.

Bear in mind also that God works in mysterious ways; The way He did it for one, does not necessarily mean it will be the same way He will do it for another. He can do it any way and any how He chooses to do it. He is GOD! The whole heaven cannot contain Him, the earth is His foot stool.

He is not bound by time or space, He is Timeless! He dwells in immortality, He created time and seasons, and can orchestrate them the way He wants, to achieve His purpose, as He wills it. He is Sovereign!

Just trust Him, rely on Him; He is Dependable.

Look at Father Abraham: God called him at the age of 75years, to leave is father’s house and proceed to a land that he would show him. At 75yrs, what’s left of him, one would begin to wonder? God said to him “…Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you…” Imagine the uncertainty; how would he have explained it to his wife, parents, friends and family; where exactly he was heading to? In addition to this, God told him He was going to make him into a great nation – he did not have a child as at when God told him this. It didn’t end there, while he was on the journey, “…The LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “This is the country that I am going to give to your descendants.” Laughable right! It was not until many years later; 25years precisely, that the child of promise in the person of Isaac was born to Abraham. By this time, Abraham was 100yrs old and his wife Sarah was 90yers old. Incredible!

The twenty-five years, did not just appear suddenly, it came with different trials; his wife Sarah was almost taken from him, but by God’s mercy she was returned, there was the case of people being envious of him, seeing him as a threat, which resulted in his being sent away together with all he had. Then family problems arose between him and his nephew which led to separation; afterwards having to go to battle in order to save his nephew, amongst so many other problems to the extent that God had to come down to reassure him of His promise time and time again.

One would begin to wonder, how one son would translate into a great nation, to become as numerous as the stars of the sky? And this same child of promise Isaac, also had barrenness issues with his wife Rebecca, it wasn’t untill after prayers, and many years of waiting, that they were blessed with twin sons; Esau and Jacob. In spite of all these ups and downs along the way, with seeming delays and even deaths, the promise of God was fulfilled. Even though Abraham did not live to see it, it did not stop the fulfillment of God’s Word.

Abraham’s descendants, just as God promised, are as numerous as the stars in the sky. Even after so many decades and centuries. His Descendants are Blessed.

What has God said to you? It does not matter how it may seem right now. Neither does it even matter whether you have a contrary evidence or report to what God has said. Remember, God’s ways are not man’s ways…
